Raw Cuts: the first gathering in Squamish
In July 2026, 100 people gathered at House of Lager in Squamish for the first Raw Cuts event. The evening sold out, with Bronwyn Hodgins, Michael Horst and Kris Harris sharing their stories and Mark Sky hosting.
It was the first gathering for a series built around a simple curiosity: what have people lived through that we rarely get to hear about?
Why Raw Cuts began
We often hear what someone has achieved. The uncertainty, risk, sacrifice and difficult decisions behind it can be harder to see. Raw Cuts gives those parts of the story room, with people speaking in their own words.
The idea took shape through conversations between InFlow co-founders Andrew Platt and Will Morris and their friend Mark Sky. Living in a place full of athletes, entrepreneurs and adventurers, they wanted to create an evening where people could hear more about the experiences that shaped those around them.
That became Raw Cuts: a live speaker series about people and what it took to get where they are.

The first three voices
Bronwyn Hodgins, Michael Horst and Kris Harris were the first speakers to take the stage. Each brought their own experience to the evening, with Mark Sky guiding the event as host.
Their illustrations below come from the Raw Cuts project, where we’re building a home for the speakers and stories from the series.

A different way to connect
At InFlow, a shared experience can happen on the water, in the sauna or around a conversation. Raw Cuts gives us another way to bring people together: an evening spent listening and getting to know the people behind the achievements.
The first gathering gave the series a place to begin. We’re continuing to build it around the same idea, with room for stories from many walks of life.
