BC Foil Fest 2026: three days of foiling in Squamish

Over the August long weekend in 2026, we ran our first BC Foil Fest in partnership with WeCANFoil. More than 50 people travelled from across BC to join us in Squamish for three days of clinics, a wing foil regatta and time together on the water.

The programme brought different parts of the foiling community into one event, with sessions for instructors and clinics spanning beginner to advanced levels. The Hydroflyer crew joined us for demos too, adding another way to experience foiling over the weekend.

Learning at different stages

Foiling brings together people with very different amounts of time on a board. BC Foil Fest made space for that range, with beginner-to-advanced clinics alongside instructor clinics.

Putting those sessions into one three-day event gave learning and progression a central place in the programme. Whether someone was developing their own riding or taking part as an instructor, there was a reason to come together around the sport.

A wing foil regatta

The weekend also included a wing foil regatta, bringing a racing element to the programme. Alongside the clinics, it was another way for the community to spend time on the water in Squamish.

Hydroflyer joins the weekend

We also welcomed the Hydroflyer crew for demonstrations. Their visit added a different style of foiling to the event and gave the community another piece of equipment to see in action.

Building a foiling community

For a first event, welcoming more than 50 people from across the province was a meaningful start. Thank you to WeCANFoil, the Hydroflyer crew, the instructors and everyone who came to take part.

BC Foil Fest is one example of the events we want to help make possible at InFlow: gatherings shaped around an activity, with time to learn and people to share it with.
